Small tear neatly repaired to inner margin of pages 41/2. First edition of this charming book about Tahiti based on Stuart-Wortley's visit to the island in 1880. (The same year as the Kingdom of Tahiti became of French colony). Stuart-Wortley has written the preface and the main text is written by Annie Brassey who visited Tahiti in 1876.
